Job description

Make work your adventure at Beech Mountain Resort. We are a community of adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts committed to creating a once in a lifetime experience for our guests and employees. Our team is dedicated, compassionate and proud of what we do. We work hard, have fun and understand that every employee contributes to the experience our guests have at the resort.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Group Sales Manager leads the experience for groups visiting Beech Mountain Resort, from small private outings to large organized groups.

This role will work closely with our Guide Service to provide a more personalized, concierge style approach to group visits. From the first inquiry through arrival, the Group Sales Manager will listen to what each group is looking for, recommend the right products and experiences, coordinate the details and make sure information is communicated across the resort.

This is both a sales and relationship management position. The Group Sales Manager will also oversee additional seasonal group sales staff and look for opportunities to grow repeat and referral business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage group inquiries from the first conversation through arrival and follow up.
  • Develop relationships with schools, businesses, clubs, organizations, families and other group clients.
  • Partner with the Guide Service to build customized private group experiences.
  • Provide concierge style assistance throughout the planning process.
  • Sell and coordinate lift tickets, rentals, lessons, food and beverage, lodging and other resort products.
  • Create proposals, pricing and group information.
  • Maintain accurate reservations, guest information and payment records.
  • Communicate group needs and details across resort departments.
  • Create arrival and operational plans for larger groups.
  • Coordinate and oversee seasonal group sales staff.
  • Assist with group arrivals and on mountain experiences.
  • Build repeat and referral business through follow up and relationship development.
  • Assist wherever needed during high volume periods.
THE STANDARD WE SET

Kindness, empathy and listening well are important in every position at Beech Mountain Resort. We expect our employees to be punctual, dependable and hardworking, to communicate openly and to care about the details.

We value people who take initiative, follow through, ask questions and are receptive to feedback. Our employees need to adapt when circumstances change, approach problems with solutions and be willing to help when something needs to get done. We believe the way we treat the people we work alongside matters just as much as the way we treat our guests.

If you take pride in your work, enjoy working as part of a team and want an opportunity to learn and grow, join us and make work your adventure.
