Job description

The Senior Designer leads the design and development of trend-relevant, commercially viable dress & tops styles, overseeing the process from initial concept through final sample approval. This role plays a key part in shaping the dress category, managing workflow, and partnering cross-functionally to support seasonal product goals and brand direction.

Key Responsibilities

Develop seasonal design concepts and research inspiration to support a cohesive and market-relevant assortment. Manage the dress design process from sketching and concept development through final product approval. Create and maintain clear technical packages to communicate design intent, construction, and finish details. Source fabrics, trims, and materials aligned with seasonal trends and product needs. Lead fittings and review prototypes to ensure fit, quality, and design accuracy. Track development calendars, sample progress, and key milestones to keep projects on schedule. Collaborate with cross-functional partners including development, production, and creative teams. Support and mentor junior team members while helping resolve design and production challenges. Conduct ongoing market and trend research to identify new opportunities within the category.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field. 5–8 years of fashion design experience, including strong experience in dresses or a closely related category. Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, draping, fabrication, and trend development. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
