Job description

A BIT ABOUT YOU
A casual extrovert by nature, you enjoy meeting new people, building relationships, and finding ways to make a stranger's day with your friendly and helpful approach to life. Your work is as much people-focused as it is detail-oriented. You're confident and precise, and you work quickly and thoroughly, leaving nothing to chance. A structured environment with defined guidelines and goals is where you thrive the most. And the ability to clearly track your progress only fuels your greater engagement and growth.

 A BIT ABOUT US
We like plants, people, and beautiful spaces. John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we're as committed as we've ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. Today we're a team of a few hundred people, but our focus remains the same: working together to engage our community and share our passion for the beauty of the natural world. And we have fun doing it.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a seasonal Front-End Team Member, you'll be the first and last impression for our Garden + Home customers, keeping the focus on our vision to be the most loved plant shop in the country.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Model our Customer Journey: The 15:5 Rule, Be the Guide, Keep It Seamless, Forget-Me-Nots, and Close the Deal
  • Own our Evergreen Guarantee, the 100% customer satisfaction promise at the heart of our customer experience
  • Actively circulate and engage customers as a proactive measure against loss prevention
  • Maintain an efficient and clean front-end, completing daily opening, closing, and side work checklists
  • Complete tasks and responsibilities, consistently referring to your weekly schedule, daily zone schedule, and side work checklists

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience working in retail a plus, but not required
  • A reliable people person with a passion for plants
  • A communicative team player willing to jump in and assist with a variety of tasks as needed
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure

WHAT WE OFFER
  • An inclusive, passionate, and fun work environment
  • The opportunity to grow a career in concert with the natural world
  • Great potential for personal and professional growth
  • A discount on all the plants and plant things you love
