Posting Summary
The Rutgers Air Quality Lab led by Dr. Xiaomeng Jin within the Department of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on remote sensing of air quality. Emphasis will be placed on using satellite observations to understand the impacts of wildfires and prescribed burning on air quality. The candidatemust have a Ph.D. in a related field (e.g., Atmospheric Science, Remote Sensing, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering) by the time of appointment. Background in atmospheric remote sensing is strongly preferred. Experience with atmospheric models (e.g., GEOS-Chem, CMAQ) and skills in python, Fortran and high-performance computing are also desired.
