Job description

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI cases
• Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one travel assignment must be completed
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers required to wear masks at all times
