Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI cases
• Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one travel assignment must be completed
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers required to wear masks at all times

The facility specializes in advanced cardiac procedures and post-operative care, including CABG, valve surgeries, catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and arrhythmia management. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes EPIC charting systems to ensure comprehensive patient documentation and care coordination.
