As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and support the financial health of the business.

Position Summary

This role partners closely with ownership and senior leadership, providing insight, structure, and hands-on leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of bank accounts, inventory, wine club activity, compliance accounts, and intercompany transactions

  • Oversee inventory accounting, including bulk wine, bottled goods, and case goods

  • Coordinate sales tax, excise tax, and other winery-specific regulatory filings

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external CPA firm, auditors, and tax advisors

  • Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff or support personnel (as applicable)

  • Collaborate with operations, DTC, hospitality, and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior winery, beverage alcohol, manufacturing, or agricultural experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Experience with inventory-heavy environments and cost accounting

  • Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP); wine industry software experience a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage priorities in a seasonal business

  • Professional, collaborative communication style

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary in the $120-$140K range

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Paid time off and winery holidays

  • Wine allocation and employee discounts

  • A collegial, mission-driven environment in one of the world’s premier wine regions
