Power & Construction Group is looking to add an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to their Gas Division. You will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment including back hoes, excavators, loaders and skid steers around live utilities.
Requirements:
  • NGA Op Qualifications at operator level
  • Previous experience operating around live utilities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate skills in the safe operation and daily preventative maintenance of backhoes, excavators, loaders, and skid steers.
  • Must have hands on experience in digging safely around live utilities.
  • Must have experience working safely in traffic zones.
  • Have no lifting or physical restrictions.
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and Clients.
  • Work outdoors year-round in all types of weather
  • Demonstrate safe and proper use and maintenance of all company tools and equipment.
  • Certified Excavator Program

Responsibilities:
  • Operate various types of construction equipment safely and proficiently around live utilities.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Employee reports directly to job site on a daily basis.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
  • Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Good vision, including close-up and peripheral vision, for detailed inspections.
  • Hearing ability to diagnose engine and equipment noises.
