Event Server, Bartender, and Captain positions are available! These are part-time seasonal catering positions at offsite venues across the Greater Richmond area, mostly on the evenings and weekends. This is a very flexible position--we invite you to events and you can choose to accept or reject based on your schedule. Some typical duties of each position include:
Event Servers:
  • Assist in all aspects of set-up and break-down, including lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Serve our guests, with a dedication to taking care of the details to ensure that they have everything they need.
  • Become familiar with the catering menu and answer customer questions concerning food being served.
  • Maintain a courteous and well-mannered demeanor throughout the event.

Event Bartenders:
  • Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event--be knowledgeable about the event you are working, timeline, bar type, food, etc.
  • Help unload the vehicle and set up the bar area and all appropriate glassware, including lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds..
  • During the event, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests, answer questions about drink ingredients and making suggestions for different types of beverages and cocktails.
  • Verify that all guests that are served alcohol are of the legal drinking age.
  • At the end of the event, clean up the bar area; pack all beer and wines back into the appropriate boxes.
  • Assist with the general breakdown of the event.

Event Captains:
  • Responsible for the safe transport of food, drinks, and equipment to event venue.
  • Manage all aspects of the event including set-up, serving meals and beverages, and take-down, including lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Carry out the Sales Event Coordinator's plan for the event and be able to adapt to different venues when determining how to set up and organize service flow.
  • Lead a team of co-captains, servers, and bartenders.
  • Maintain good communication with the event host.
  • Be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
  • Create an environment that supports and develops the members of your team.
