Job description

Postion: Data Integration Developer / Lead – Informatica , IICS , PowerCenter
Location: Branchville, NJ – Onsite

Type: Contract

Duration: Long term

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Hands-on development and support of new and existing data integration applications using Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS, or equivalent), with a strong focus on code quality, deployments, and operational stability.
  • Design and build mappings, mapplets, reusable transformations, workflows, sessions, parameter files, and deployment artifacts; implement error handling, logging, and restartability.
  • Author and tune complex SQL queries, analyze execution plans, optimize joins/index usage, and implement set-based transformations for performance and scalability.
  • Work with stakeholders to profile source data, define transformation logic, & validate outputs against business rules.
  • Work closely with Application & Enterprise Architects to implement low-level designs aligned with established data flow and governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform RCA, & implement fixes to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
  • Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, & ensure maintainable & reusable development practices.
  • Maintain clear & detailed technical documentation for mappings, data models, interfaces, & downstream integrations.
  • Work with product owners & project managers to deliver enhancements, new development, & maintenance tasks within defined timelines.
  • Contribute to initiatives involving ELT/modern data platforms (Databricks preferred), automation, & orchestration tools.
  • Provide regular updates on development, progress, risks, and blockers to technical and business stakeholders.
  • 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience developing Data Warehouse, data integration, or data engineering solutions.
  • Building & maintaining mappings, workflows, parameterization, reusable components, & deployment packages.
  • Understanding of dimensional and normalized modelling, including star/snowflake schemas.
  • Experience with ELT and modern stacks: exposure to Databricks or Informatica platforms preferred.
