Job description

JOIN OUR TEAM AT THE CLUB AT KALEA BAY!

The Club at Kalea Bay offers five-star resort features, including pools, tennis courts, and two restaurants: Salt amp; Oak and the Driftwood Café. We are looking for a seasonal Food amp; Beverage Attendant who would thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing attentive service and creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring members and guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional care.

The Food amp; Beverage Attendant job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The start date is October 1, 2026, with May 31, 2027, as the end date.

Job Duties:
  • The Food amp; Beverage Attendant supports the food and beverage department by assisting servers and service staff with dining room, poolside, banquet, and event operations. Duties
  • include table clearing and setup, food running, stocking supplies, basic guest assistance, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of service areas. The position also assists
  • servers with limited service related functions under supervision.
  • Clear tables and unload trays in the kitchen, properly separating dishes, silverware ,and linens.
  • Clear dishes from tables between courses and reset tables as needed.
  • Help serve food, carry trays, refill water glasses and non alcoholic beverages.
  • Act as a liaison between dining room staff and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Handle routine and impromptu requests from members and guests in a courteous manner.
  • Assist servers by accurately entering orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system and confirming order transmission with the kitchen or bar.
  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items in an informative and helpful manner.
  • Assist with setting tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, linens, and decorations.
  • Arrange and rearrange tables and chairs to accommodate regular dining, large groups, and banquet events.
  • Assist in setting buffet stations, tables, signage, and decorations.
  • Assist with moving, setting up, and breaking down banquet and dining room tables and food and beverage equipment for events and private functions.
  • Assist in removing, storing, and cleaning banquet equipment after events.
  • Assist in clearing used pool towels, dishes, and trash from pool or beach areas.
  • Empty used towel bins, stock clean towel bins, and deliver used towels to housekeeping.
  • Set up pool chairs, tables, lounge furniture, and towels for poolside or beach food
  • Sort, polish, and store clean silverware and glassware.
  • Ensure dining areas are properly stocked with utensils, napkins, glassware, tablecloths, decorations, and service items such as bread, butter, or crackers.
  • Dust woodwork, wash mirrors, vacuum carpets, clean and wax floors, and assist with spill cleanup.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position operates in a private club setting.
  • Work areas may be crowded and noisy.
  • Working conditions are often hot, humid, slippery, and wet.
  • Able to tolerate the smell of chlorine and
  • frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
  • The employee is exposed to weather conditions while serving guests outdoors.
  • The employee makes frequent trips to the kitchen, where the air may be moist, warm, and odorous from cooking foods or pools.
  • The kitchen floor may be slippery from moisture and grease.
  • The employee may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns.
  • Frequent hand washing is required. Frequent use of stairs, daily.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, stretching, twisting, or reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, and crouching—continuous repetitive motions.
  • Physical exertion over long periods.
  • The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing over 50 pounds and pushing or pulling a cart on wheels up to 75 pounds, and frequently reaching overhead.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend and holiday work.
