The Country Club at DC Ranch is seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Manager-in-Training (MIT) to join our team for the upcoming season. This is more than an entry-level hospitality position, it is a structured development opportunity designed for someone who wants to build the operational knowledge, leadership skills, and financial understanding needed to pursue a career in Food & Beverage management. Throughout the program, our MIT will rotate through our Food & Beverage operations, including the Clubhouse and Ranch House, gaining hands-on experience in service leadership, outlet management, member relations, employee development, and daily operations. Working alongside Club leaders, you will gradually take on increased leadership responsibilities as you develop your skills and demonstrate readiness.

This is a seasonal, hourly position running October through May and is ideal for a current or recent hospitality graduate, an emerging hospitality professional, or an experienced Food & Beverage employee ready to take the next step toward management.

Qualifications to join our team:

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business, or a related field preferred; current hospitality students and candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered
• Previous experience in food & beverage, restaurants, private clubs, resorts, hotels, or customer service preferred
• A demonstrated interest in pursuing a leadership career within Food & Beverage or hospitality operations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced service environment
• Ability to accept coaching, apply feedback, and adapt to different operations and leadership styles
• Ability to build positive relationships with Members, guests, employees, and Club leaders
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with hospitality POS or scheduling systems is a plus
• Food-safety and responsible alcohol-service certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications upon hire

What You’ll Learn & Experience:

• Rotate through Club Food & Beverage operations to gain hands-on experience in outlet management, service, and leadership
• Learn opening, closing, shift-transition, and outlet-readiness procedures
• Assist with floor supervision, staff assignments, pre-shift meetings, and daily operational execution
• Build relationships with Members and learn how to deliver the personalized service expected within a private club environment
• Develop leadership skills through employee coaching, training, engagement, recognition, and performance-management experiences
• Assist with employee onboarding and training on service standards, menu knowledge, POS procedures, safety practices, and SOPs
• Gain experience with scheduling, timekeeping, payroll review, labor planning, and staffing adjustments
• Develop an understanding of Food & Beverage financial management, including budgets, P&L statements, labor costs, inventory, purchasing, cost controls, and productivity
• Participate in inventory management, receiving, product storage, supply management, and waste-control practices
• Support Club events, holiday functions, member activations, and other Food & Beverage programming
• Collaborate with Culinary, Beverage, Events, Golf, and other Club departments
• Participate in leadership meetings, training sessions, coaching conversations, and regular program-progress reviews
• Take on increasing responsibility for shift leadership, team communication, operational decision-making, and member service as your skills develop
• Complete an operational improvement project and present your findings or recommendations to Club leadership

This is a seasonal, hourly position from October through May. Candidates must have the flexibility to work based on Club operations and program rotations, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

The goal of our MIT program is to prepare participants for future leadership opportunities within Food &Beverage. Successful completion of the program does not guarantee placement into a management position; advancement is based on individual performance, demonstrated readiness, organizational needs, and the availability of an appropriate opportunity.
