Job description

DEPARTMENT:

Parks and Recreation

TITLE:

Seasonal Park Attendant (Up to 12 positions available)

STATUS:

Seasonal Part-Time; April - October and weekends in November. Parks are open (7) days a week. Indicate on application specific start /end dates of availability. Hours can vary during summer months.

All staff members are expected to work various shifts throughout the week/year. The park has (2) attendants scheduled for all weekend and all night shifts.

HOURS: (dependent upon position)

- weekday positions: Mon-Fri 8a-2p

- weekday midday positions: Mon-Fri 2p-7p

- weekday evening/nights Mon-Fri 7p-11p (park closes at 10p on Fridays)

- weekend: Sat-Sun 8a-3p

- weekend midday: Sat-Su 11a-5p

- weekend evening: Sat-Sun 3p-10p

HOURLY RATE:

$15.00-$17.00 per hour rate dependent upon qualifications/experience.

JOB DUTIES:

Pick up trash, supervise court operations, enforce park rules/regulations, and monitor facilities, clean restrooms, grounds, different sites. All work weather permitting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Personable, strong customer service orientation, present in professional manner, dependable, self starter and ambitious.

Minimum Age: 16

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES:

REQUIRED CLEARANCES-

  • Criminal History Background
  • Child Abuse Background
  • FBI Clearance
  • Mandatory Reporter Certification

The Twp. DOES NOT reimburse applicants hired for the cost of the clearances, or training. All required clearances must be submitted with application for consideration.

The Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) requires employees who have contact with children to provide the following completed clearances prior to Hire or Rehire:

- PA Criminal History Background

- PA Child Abuse Clearance

- FBI Clearance 

- Mandatory Reporter Clearance 

The Township does not reimburse applicants for the cost to obtain the required clearances.  Clearances must be submitted with application.
