Job description

Job Summary

Seasonal Warehouse Associates perform a wide variety of tasks that contribute to Crescent Parts & Equipment's daily success. As a Seasonal Warehouse Associate, you will represent a trusted HVAC and Refrigeration industry wholesaler by providing excellent customer service in your daily tasks of loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, filling customer orders, or maintaining a functional warehouse. This position is expected to end in September.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fills customer orders and efficiently packages items for pick-up or delivery
  • Respond to branches’ requests for stock items in a timely and accurate manner
  • Unload and load delivery and customer trucks quickly, efficiently, and safely
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors during outgoing order pickups and incoming deliveries
  • Check shipping document and ensure proper quantity of cartons has been received
  • Inventory products and stock in assigned warehouse location
  • Maintain warehouse appearance and cleanliness by loading and unloading shipments neatly, keeping warehouse tools and equipment orderly, and reporting any unsafe conditions
  • Work as a team member in the warehouse to assure all jobs are done in the most efficient and safe manner
  • Understand and adhere to OSHA safety rules and regulations as they relate to day-to-day operations of the warehouse

Experience & Qualifications

  • Warehouse Experience is a plus
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Common sense and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to operate material-handling equipment (ex: fork truck) safely and pass yearly safety test
  • Capable of dealing quickly with changing priorities and demands
  • Ability to interpret shipping documents, packing slips, invoices, computer-generated ordering, and inventory documents to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work as a team or on your own, when applicable
  • Ability to listen and communicate by phone, in writing, and in person with customers in a professional manner

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Demands

  • Work can involve lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Warehouse locations may not have central air conditioning
  • Work may involve standing and/or sitting for extended periods

Work Schedule/Shift: Standard Hours are M-F, 7:00 am-4:30 pm. Hours are determined by the branch manager and could be between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm and, potentially, Saturday morning.

Pay Status: Non-exempt
