Seasonal College Recruiter

Small College Consulting (SCC) is seeking experienced higher education professionals to serve as Seasonal College Recruiters on behalf of our college and university partners.

This is an ideal opportunity for a retired or recently retired higher education professional—or someone looking for flexible, short-term work—who enjoys connecting with prospective students and families.

Responsibilities

  • Represent a college or university partner within an assigned geographic market
  • Attend college fairs and recruitment events
  • Visit high schools and meet with students and counselors
  • Build relationships with prospective students, families, and school counselors
  • Share information about the institution and help generate student interest
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment activity and market feedback

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in college admissions, enrollment management, higher education, counseling, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and representing an institution professionally
  • Familiarity with the local market and high schools is a plus
  • Willingness to travel locally to high schools, fairs, and recruitment events
