Job description

Seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic for a 100% onsite contract in Franklin, MA (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM). The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on CNC machines and manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems.
  • Inspect machines for leaks, wear, and performance issues.
  • Document maintenance activities and root cause analysis.
  • Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and improve maintenance processes.
  • Follow FDA, ISO, and safety standards.

Required Skills:

  • 3–5 years of CNC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (1+ year considered for trainable candidates).
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Mazatrol, PLCs, and servo drives preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • FDA-regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience with CNC brands such as Mazak, Tsugami, Citizen, KERN, EuroTech, and Fanuc EDM.
  • Ballbar testing experience.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing or CNC Technology.
  • Welding and forklift experience are a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work overtime when needed, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • One onsite interview with the hiring manager.
