Job description

SUMMARY

Maintains the hotel's public areas, meeting rooms, and grounds in a high level of cleanliness and organization in accordance with company standards and provides excellent customer service to the hotel guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned public areas and grounds in accordance with company and franchise policy. Assist the executive housekeeper/breakfast attendants as needed with deliveries to guest and meeting rooms and the cleaning of guest rooms after hours.
  • Ensures hotel equipment, such as sots, cribs, carts, vacuums, and a/v equipment are maintained properly and secured.
  • Ensures cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored and used properly. Ensures all chemicals/cleaning product bottles are properly labeled in accordance with the chemical policy.
  • Provides excellent customer service that goes above and beyond, to the hotel guests. Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times. Immediately addresses guest's requests. Assists guests with belongings/luggage as needed.
  • Properly attired in uniform and nametag, in accordance with franchise and company grooming and uniform policy.
  • Communicates with superiors and co-workers about the status of guest requests and assigned tasks.
  • Provides safety and security for the hotel and its guests. Alerts staff and guests to unsafe conditions and follows the company safety and security policies. Observes and partakes of the hotel key control procedures at all times. Is familiar with the hotel emergency plan and is able to confidently participate in emergency training procedures. Observes guest and hotel confidentiality procedures. Uses the hotel safe lifting procedure. Reports all incidents and injuries to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Completes any other task requested by a supervisor, including training new associates.
  • All other duties as assigned.
