Position Summary

The Technical Operations Manager leads all maintenance operations for the assigned Maui’s location, ensuring attractions, arcade equipment, go-karts, building systems, and facility infrastructure remain safe, operational, and guest-ready. This role provides hands-on leadership to the maintenance team while overseeing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and technical operations that support the park's daily success.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Team Leadership amp; Development
  • Lead, coach, schedule, and develop the Go-Kart Technician, Arcade Technician, and Attraction Technician teams while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Assign daily work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and repair priorities based on operational needs, safety concerns, and equipment reliability.

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance, training, and performance coaching while supporting technician growth and advancement.

  • Partner with the General Manager and Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and technician development.

Equipment Maintenance amp; Technical Operations
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, and operational readiness of all attractions, arcade systems, go-karts, building systems, and facility infrastructure.

  • Ensure all attractions and equipment operate safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, repair documentation, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to minimize downtime and maximize operational reliability.

  • Coordinate repairs, software updates, inspections, warranty work, and technical support while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Safety, Compliance amp; Facility Management
  • Maintain responsibility for attraction safety, maintenance compliance, OSHA requirements, inspection readiness, and documentation throughout the park.

  • Respond promptly to equipment failures, attraction shutdowns, facility issues, and safety concerns while ensuring corrective actions are completed before equipment returns to service.

  • Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other facility infrastructure while coordinating outside contractors and service providers as needed.

  • Partner with park leadership to support daily operations, special events, and guest experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and fully operational facility.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED; technical training, trade certifications, or related education is preferred.

  • Three or more years of maintenance, technical operations, facilities management, or amusement attraction experience, with previous leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building systems, along with preventative maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting.

  • Experience leading maintenance teams, managing work orders, coordinating vendors, maintaining documentation, and enforcing safety standards.

  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, ride inspections, preventative maintenance systems, inventory management, and maintenance software.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

  • Flexible availability to support evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call emergencies, and peak operating periods.

Work Environment amp; Physical Requirements
  • Active, hands-on maintenance environment requiring frequent movement throughout attractions, arcade areas, go-kart tracks, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and facility infrastructure.

  • Regular use of tools, ladders, maintenance equipment, diagnostic devices, and computer systems while supporting daily park operations.

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, and working around moving mechanical equipment in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unaided and respond to maintenance emergencies during operating and non-operating hours as required.
