Engineer the solution. Win the deal. Sell on value, not price.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client's Inside Sales Engineer is the technical and commercial engine converting complex customer challenges into won, well-engineered treatment systems: qualifying demand, architecting the solution, and building the proposals that close. The client competes on total cost of ownership and guaranteed outcomes, not lowest quote.

The honest version: you sit between the customer and engineering, proposal turnaround pressure is real, and both sides grade your work. The reward is that the wins are unambiguously yours.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Technical Solution Design

  • Solution architecture. Specs and operating conditions translated into the right technologies for each application.
  • Technical authority. Interpret requirements and defend design choices with customers.

Proposal Development

  • Proposals and bids. Technical proposals, quotations, and RFQ/RFP responses led from the front.
  • Value positioning. Frame on lifecycle performance and TOTEX; protect margin.

Pipeline

  • Lead qualification. Inbound and outreach leads qualified and prioritized.
  • Field partnership. Opportunities closed with field business development; records kept forecast-ready.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Order-intake, revenue, and margin on assigned opportunities.
  • Proposal quality, accuracy, and win rate.
  • Qualified pipeline growth.
  • Proposal turnaround speed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • BS or BE in Chemical, Environmental, or Process engineering with a genuine water-systems base.
  • Experience designing, optimizing, and pricing complex treatment processes.
  • Autonomy and communication strength across clients, PMs, and sales.
  • Commercial instinct to hold a value position with technical and executive buyers.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Bid/proposal experience on engineered capital systems.
  • High-purity, process water, or industrial wastewater exposure.
  • Comfort in a lean, flat organization.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading international provider of water, wastewater, vapor-emissions, and material-recovery treatment and process-filtration solutions, with decades of expertise in Europe and a long-established North American presence. The business delivers engineered solutions and services that address its customers' most demanding water challenges, with sustainability at the core of everything it does. Full company detail and the growth plan are shared with candidates under confidentiality.

ABOUT THE SEARCH

This is a confidential retained search conducted by Raymond Search Group, an executive search firm specializing in the built environment. The client is named following an initial confidential conversation with the search team. All inquiries are handled in strict confidence, and no candidate information is shared with the client without prior consent. Questions before applying: jeff@raymondsearchgroup.com | 904-618-3460.
