NSF is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Hybrid Ann Arbor) to support the Health & Safety Science program. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced leaders to deliver high-quality services to our clients. You will serve as a key contact for operational tasks with the clients and internal stakeholders, responsible for building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships. This role requires a proactive, results-driven professional with outstanding communication skills and a passion for client success

  • M.S. degree in public health, business, or a related field. B.S. will be considered with excellent experience.
  • PMP certification highly desired.
  • Five plus years of experience in project management within a scientific environment.
  • Experience in client-facing role in public health is preferred. In lieu of direct public health experience, relevant experience in one or more of the following will be considered: healthcare, research, environmental health, or other life-science related field.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Salesforce and Asana highly desired.ย 
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to support sales/marketing activities.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs.; occasionally up to 35 lbs.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and customer communication skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Create and maintain project timelines, tracking milestones, priorities, and follow-up actions to support on-time execution.

  • Work with HSS Director and other senior leaders to align project timingย with staff capacity and operational priorities.

  • Support HSS Director with activities related to the annual budget, including invoice coordination, expense tracking, and annual operating plan development and review.

  • Help document customer requirements and ensure they are accurately transferred into internal execution and final deliverables.

  • Participate in client meetings to review project scope, provide updates, and support relationship development.

  • Represent NSF and HSS at tradeshowsย and other events aimed at marketing services.

  • Drive accountability, professionalism, and cross-functional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Share client insights to support continuous improvement and inform service enhancements.
