POSITION TITLE:  Part-Time Security
DATE: April 2026
REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor
LOCATION: Districtwide

Description:
Owens J. Roberts School District is looking for Part- time and Substitute Security Officers to work on an as need basis.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct traffic entering and leaving school facilities
2. Direct parking of vehicles
3. Stop vehicles in violation of traffic control directions
4. Search vehicle on school property in instances when legally required
5. Refuse admission to school activities in circumstances of policy violation
6. Respond to disturbances on school property
7. Request assistance from Owen J. Roberts School District School Police, local and/or State law enforcement agencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.













  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and safe driving record.
  3. Ability to understand and carry out instructions using common-sense problem solving when necessary.
  4. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
  5. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
10 months, up to 5.5 hours per day
Starting Rate- $16.00 per hour
Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors.
According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
