PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON OF 2026-27.  WE WILL NOT START THE INTERVIEWING PROCESS UNTIL MID-AUGUST WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MID-SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER.Have you ever thought about working in sports?

We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears.  Whether you are a college student, a teacher with a flexible schedule, someone looking to re-enter the workforce, or someone just looking for additional income, our part-time, event roles could be perfect for you.

 What our Part-Time hiring process is like:

While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role.  After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.

After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team.  Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email.  We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.

 

This position will be working out of the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL. A quick summary about the Part-Time Osceola Magic Blue Crew role: 

The Osceola Magic are seeking high energy individuals to be part of the Osceola Magic Blue Crew Activation Team. The Blue Crew Activation will bring energy and encourage crowd participation at all Osceola Magic home games. The Blue Crew Activation will also assist with in-game promotions, on-court performances, and fan experiences at all Osceola Magic home games. They are responsible for the set up and break down of all props and equipment needed for all promotions, performances, and/or mascot skits.  The Blue Crew Activation will also occasionally attend and assist with community events, mascot school shows, and high school halftime takeovers throughout the season.

What the role will be responsible for:
    • Create a positive, entertaining, and enthusiastic atmosphere for fans from the second they enter the arena to the second they leave.
    • Set-up and breakdown all game-day related activations including inflatables, props and giveaways.
    • Execute all on-court and in-stand activations including holding signs, leading chants, distributing t-shirts and utilizing props such as pom poms, flags, drums, etc.
    • Choose contestants for in-game promotions
    • Manage the inflatables lines and waivers in the Florida Blue Family Zone
    • Assist team mascot “Swish” with skits, performances and occasionally grassroots appearances when needed.
    • Perform in front of small or large crowds
    • Provide legendary fan experience and interactions to all guests.
    • Work with the Game Producer and Stage Manager on timing, activation changes, set-up, breakdown and other tasks.
    • Represent the Osceola Magic at internal and external events
    • Distribute promotional items at games and events as needed.
    • All other duties as assigned.
What the Part Time needs to have:
    • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
    • At least 1-year of experience performing in a live entertainment setting (i.e. theme parks, cheer team, etc.) preferred.
    • Must enjoy working with people, ability to work in front of large crowds, and have a high-energy personality.
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
