Job description

Gray Capital is a vertically integrated multifamily real estate investment firm headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. With over $1 billion assets under management and a portfolio spanning more than 1,500 units across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, Gray Capital acquires, operates, and optimizes institutional-quality multifamily assets.
The Opportunity:
Gray Capital is looking for a Head of Marketing--a senior, hands-on marketer who will own the Gray Capital brand and drive marketing strategy across our investment platform and residential portfolio. This is not a team management role in the traditional sense; you are a builder, an executor, and a strategic partner to leadership.
You will directly manage one marketing professional embedded within Gray Residential, and you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable crafting an investor communication as they are optimizing a digital acquisition campaign or refreshing a brand system.
What You Will Own:
-Brand & Identity: Own the Gray Capital brand across all touch points. Maintain visual identity, voice, and positioning that reflects our institutional quality and market position.
-Investor Relations Marketing: Develop investor-facing materials including investor decks, deal communications, deal summaries, and quarterly updates in partnership with the investment team.
-Capital Markets Support: Support capital raise efforts with compelling, polished marketing collateral. Translate complex investment theses into clar, credible narratives.
-Digital & Lead Generation: Oversee website strategy, SEO, paid, digital, social media, and email marketing across Gray Capital and Gray Residential channels.
-Property & Leasing Marketing: Set and oversee the marketing strategy for Gray Capital's portfolio, including listing platforms, ILS management, photography standards, and campaign performance. The Gray Residential marketing member reports directly to you.
-Content & Thought Leadership: Build a content engine--market commentary, portfolio updates, social presence--that elevates Gray Capital's profile in the multifamily market.
-Systems & Reporting: Own marketing's presence in HubSpot (CRM), establish attribution and performance reporting, and ensure marketing activity translates to measurable outcomes.
Qualifications:
-7+ years of marketing experience, preferably some in real estate, financial services, or investment management
-Proven track record building and executing multi-channel marketing strategy
-Tech forward, experience with AI, CRM/marketing automation platforms
-Experience with digital marketing: paid search/social, SEO, email, and analytics
-Comfortable producing and directing design assets
-Familiarity with multifamily or commercial real estate
-Self-directed
-Comfortable in a leadership role
