Job description

We are seeking a versatile, high-impact Communications & Content Strategist to shape and drive our holistic brand narrative. In this role, you will be the bridge between our internal organization and the outside world. You will draft, create and optimize content strategies that engage our external audience (customers, prospects, partners) while simultaneously building alignment, culture and engagement within our internal associates and drivers. This is a multi-faceted role requiring exceptional storytelling agility. You will sit at the intersection of brand marketing, external communications and digital associate experience-managing a modern mix of digital platforms alongside traditional communication channels.

Responsibilities:

Unified Content Strategy & Brand Voice

  • Collaborate and contribute to develop and execute an overarching content roadmap that aligns external marketing campaigns with internal corporate initiatives.

  • Maintain and champion a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints, ensuring external messaging matches our internal culture.

  • Experiential Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends to integrate interactive elements, emerging technologies and creative activations that elevate the attendee experience.

  • Map content strategies to distinct audiences, tailoring the tone and format for external customers, industry partners and internal staff.

External Digital & Traditional Communications

  • Assist in managing external digital content channels (blog, social media, email newsletters, emails and website copy) to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.

  • Optimize external digital content using foundational SEO principles, keyword research and audience learnings.

  • Supporting traditional external channels as needed, may include drafting press releases, coordinating event collateral and contributing to print publications.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Create and execute internal communication strategies that keep associates informed, aligned with corporate goals and connected to the company mission.

  • Own the editorial calendar for internal channels, including the corporate intranet, digital signage, social, IT updates and company related events.

  • Partner with HR and leadership to drive cultural initiatives, celebrate milestones and support change management communication.

Analytics, Feedback & Optimization

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for both internal engagement (survey feedback, employee sentiment) and external performance (social engagement, email click-through rates).

  • Conduct regular communication audits across all channels to identify content gaps and modernize distribution workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in a blended role spanning corporate communications, content marketing, public relations or internal communications. Or an equivalent combination of education and work history demonstrating similar competencies.

  • A diverse portfolio demonstrating versatility: includes external content (blogs, campaign copy, or PR) and internal communication pieces (executive memos, employee newsletters or change management copy).

  • Proven track record of managing multi-channel editorial calendars in a fast-paced environment.

  • External Digital Tools: Comfort with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot), social media management suites, and basic SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, GA4).

  • Internal & Collaboration Tools: Experience managing intranet platforms (SharePoint, Workvivo) and workspace hubs (Zoom).

  • Traditional & Design Tools: Familiarity with email layout tools (Mailchimp, Marketing Cloud) and basic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for producing clean internal/external assets.

  • The "Chameleon" Writer: Exceptional ability to shift tone instantly-from high-energy, conversion-focused external marketing to empathetic, transparent internal corporate communication.

  • Discretion & Integrity: Absolute professionalism when handling sensitive, confidential corporate data and organizational changes.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Experience with project management tools like Monday.com, Asana or Trello preferred.

  • Experience with event platforms like Cvent or vFairs preferred.

  • Experience with social media preferred.
