Position Overview:

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating all catered events at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This role requires a high level of client engagement, exceptional sales skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure seamless event execution. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with clients, drive revenue through strategic sales initiatives, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver world-class events.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and secure new catering business through networking, prospecting, and direct sales efforts.
  • Conduct site visits and showcase resort venues and catering options to potential clients.
  • Prepare and present catering proposals, contracts, and pricing to prospective clients while maximizing revenue.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and event requirements.
  • Coordinate menu selections, décor, setup, and logistics in partnership with the culinary and banquet teams.
  • Ensure all contracts, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and invoices are accurately prepared and communicated to relevant departments.
  • Address and resolve any client concerns or last-minute changes with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Liaise with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Monitor event budgets, ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Maintain detailed records of events, sales performance, and client feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging vendor opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional service, ensuring a personalized and luxurious experience for all guests.
  • Anticipate client needs and offer innovative solutions to enhance events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
