Job description

Job Title: Human Resources Intern
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
SUMMARY
The Seattle Seahawks Human Resources Intern is immersed in the daily operations of a fast-paced professional sports team by directly assisting with recruitment, onboarding, payroll and employee processes. This position requires a dynamic individual who demonstrates the ability to prioritize and multitask at the highest level while ensuring confidentiality and operating under strict deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute onboarding process by sending and processing new hire backgrounds, hiring paperwork, required trainings, verifying I-9 documentation and producing accurate and timely payroll functions
  • Assist with general employee data maintenance and audits
  • Support recruitment initiatives by assisting with scheduling interviews, candidate screenings, orientations and candidate communications
  • Draft branded Human Resources deliverables, publications, emails, etc. in collaboration with the Design department
  • Assist with the HR email inbox and send prompt responses to email applications
  • Maintain minor work components including sending minor paperwork, assuring accuracy of paperwork collected and conducting internal audits to verify compliance
  • Provide employment verifications and process responses to routine unemployment insurance claim notices
  • Process Worker's Compensation claims for employees; update OSHA report
  • Assist with the development of online Manager Training program
  • Support the file management and file retention initiatives of the HR department
  • Provide daily administrative and office support including supply orders, filing, data entry, making timecards, photocopies and faxing
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, meeting minutes, etc.) and act as departmental representative at events/gamedays
  • Serve as back-up office assistant and receptionist as needed
  • Ability to work at both Virginia Mason Athletic Center (Renton, Washington) and at Lumen Field (Seattle, Washington) offices

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be currently enrolled as a senior or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a college or university. Graduate school students are eligible to apply as well
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with document and email publication design preferred; experience with Adobe products and Canva is a plus
  • The ability to problem solve in a timely manner
  • Experience working with highly confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
General Information
  • Internship will begin July 13, 2026
  • Interns are responsible for their own housing, travel and relocation expenses
  • A background check will be conducted prior to starting work with us
  • This internship will begin in July and work up to 30 hours per week through the end of the football season
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this position is:$22.75
