DESCRIPTION
The Scheduler oversees the development, planning and scheduling of activities for the assigned construction project(s). This position works directly with the project teams as a core function of Operations. The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the planning and scheduling functions on assigned project(s) so as to facilitate on-time delivery of the projects. The Scheduler is a team player and helps focus team efforts surrounding schedule planning, development, updating, and delay mitigation. As such, the Scheduler must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Job Skills & Abilities:
  • Able to manage and coordinate with the project team(s) to generate the monthly status updates and narrative reports as required and stipulated in the Contract Documents of the Owner / Client;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6;
  • Familiarity with cost, quantity and labor hour loading preferred;
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its derivatives CPI and SPI preferred;
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, models, and specifications for the development of schedules;
  • Represent the Company and/or the project in meetings with the project owners, A/E representatives and other Contractors as required;
  • Ensure that the corporate planning and scheduling standards are implemented and that all project related activities comply;
  • Perform additional scheduling related assignments as required such as time impact analyses;
  • Work with Estimating and Preconstruction Department to ensure timely development of bid schedules;
  • Assist in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Functions effectively as part of a team;
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experienced in scheduling for construction projects using Primavera P6 software in the commercial general building sector.
  • Experienced in development of resource and cost loaded baseline schedules.
  • Proficient in P6 and Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Travel to, and working on, projects sites is required.

*In lieu of the above-stated experience, employer will accept a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls.
Expected annual salary range for this job is $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
