Job description

About the Job:
We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at The Seagate. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, members, employees, property, and assets across the resort. The Security Officer will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain accurate reports while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and vigilance.
What You Do:
  • Patrol hotel property regularly throughout the shift to ensure the safety of guests and employees, and to protect all hotel assets.
  • Respond to house calls promptly, assisting guests and employees with safety, security, and hotel operations-related concerns during the shift.
  • Initiate and conduct thorough investigations into crimes committed against property and persons, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate follow-up.
  • Provide assistance to sick and injured guests and employees, documenting incidents and ensuring proper disposition of reports.
  • Maintain accurate records through basic office duties such as camera monitoring, maintaining shift activity logs, managing codebooks, and overseeing employee and guest interactions.
  • Receive and manage all incoming mail and parcel deliveries during the shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to follow and enforce hotel safety policies and fire-safety procedures during all shifts.
  • Capacity to work efficiently in confined spaces and reach various hotel locations in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable with multitasking and occasionally assisting other departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Clear, concise, and polite communication style.
  • Familiarity with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to work long hours, overnight shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift, carry, and push objects up to fifty pounds.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to an 8-hour shift
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and handle equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Flexibility with break time.
  • Comfortable working in extreme outdoor temperatures.
  • Must possess manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
