Four Star Seafood is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our fast-growing sales department. This is a customer-facing position that has an integral role in leading our company's growth by building our core business, identifying new business opportunities, developing new relationships, and managing existing customer relationships.


The primary role of the Seafood Sales Representatives is to work with our customers to serve as a trusted partner for seafood and gourmet provisions. Through an engaged and collaborative style, our Sales Representatives will build meaningful relationships with chefs and buyers, facilitate the order process, and grow their sales portfolio year-over-year. Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new customers, cold calling, networking as needed, while maintaining and growing current accounts.
  • Manage current customer accounts with the goal of providing excellent customer support, which results in high levels of customer retention and new opportunities to up/cross sell appropriately based on our customers' changing needs.
  • Consults with account base, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call/meet with existing and/or potential sales accounts.
  • Responsible for increasing sales and account penetration by analyzing current sales, volume, planning sales calls, presentations, and follow-up.
  • Foster and accelerate strong partnerships to expand market coverage, awareness, and penetration within your accounts.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to clients via verbal and written communications to ensure that any requests and concerns are addressed quickly and professionally.
  • Generate revenue by selling, managing, and developing existing client relationships while understanding client needs, tailoring customer solutions through consultative selling.
  • Prioritize opportunities to provide the best customer experience and ensure 100% customer satisfaction with our products and service offerings.
  • Maintain hyper focus on identifying opportunities in a customer's environment and develop a business-orient point of view that compels them to trust Four Star Seafood to solve it.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the accounts you directly manage; understand their needs, process roadblocks and how Four Star Seafood can support them through frequent check-ins.
  • Drive and own revenue KPI's to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Use internal sales systems and process optimally for all lead management and sales forecasting.
  • Conduct business dealing with prospects in a way that represents Four Star Seafood's passion for high quality, sustainable food, and our company values.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and all company policies.

Requirements


If you would like to join our dynamic team, you will bring the following traits to the position:

  • 2 years of experience in sales and providing exceptional customer service PREFERRED.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Seafood industry or culinary industry is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and great active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and Google products, especially with excel.
  • Perform administrative functions such as general correspondence and maintenance of accurate records, files, client information, and monitor inventory levels of products.
  • Strong ability to identify, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and manage time effectively.
  • Professional "go-getter" who understands what it takes to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Team oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Trustworthy with strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Speak English fluently and coherently. (Bilingual a plus!)


Work Hours and Availability:


This is a full-time position based out of the San Francisco location. Working hours vary based on business needs. Approximate hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm; some flexibility is required.


Compensation and Benefits:


This is a salary exempt position with performance-based pay. Pay includes a base pay with a Commission Plan, which includes an Applicable Commission Rate that is (10%) of margin. This is an uncapped commission plan. OTE is $68,640 - $150,000 per year. Employee benefits are available for all qualifying full-time employees, including paid time off, medical, vision, and dental insurance. In addition, employees receive fresh seafood products and company merchandise at cost plus 10%.
