Job description

Citi's Services organization provides an integrated suite of innovative and tailored cash management and trade and working capital solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations. Citi's Trade & Working Capital business is the market leader in delivering global trade and working capital financing solutions across sectors.
The Structured Commodity Trade Finance Specialist, will be responsible to work with all Trade Lines of Business with strong focus on Product Management, and structuring of plain vanilla trade loans, transactionally secured bilateral facilities, Pre Export Financing and Borrowing Base.
This role is responsible for supporting and providing advisory to Sales, Banking and Risk on client engagements for structured Trade Loan transactions. Additionally, leading solutioning, deal approvals and execution with an emphasis on complex risk and credit frameworks under strong controls environment in order to support the expansion of our commodity segment. It requires experience leading complex deal execution across the globe and a solid understanding of structuring. The role sits within the Product organization, with accountability for transaction design, risk allocation and documentation and support on operational processing. It requires strong technical expertise, sound judgement and experience with bespoke and syndicated trade structures. In addition, this role will support Trade Loans NAM from a Product management perspective including P&L responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with the overall Trade Loans business strategy and market opportunities within the services organization, including specific focus areas like eLoans standardization
  • Drive new client origination in the U.S. and Canada through product enhancements and new product rollouts
  • Lead as project manager Commodity product system migration to a new Operations team. Identify risks which could impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Contribute to market share/coalition growth by identifying and capitalizing on product opportunities
  • Support NAM TWCL business with planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day global product related activities
  • Responsible for ensuring all necessary Commodity operational TTS Standards and procedures are clearly defined and followed by all relevant stakeholders
  • Work in coordination with Trade Loans Data Lead to generate Sales campaigns

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • 6+ years of related experience in Sales and Product Management
  • Background in Commodity, Trade products, Technology and Program Management highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Bilingual in Spanish a Plus
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
