Job Description

Brunswick's Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC), located in Merritt Island, Florida, supports the growth and development of Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and other Brunswick boat brands. This location, formally a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility, centralizes Brunswick's vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient, cost effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs a limited variety of less complex upholstery tasks like making and stuffing cushions (where this is a majority of what the person does).

  • Covers carpet parts, and works on the assembly floor where the parts covered are simple to moderately complex like muffs, bolsters, bulkheads, other small parts, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have prior knowledge and experience in the following areas, and must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Requires a high school education or equivalent

  • Ability to read and understand production schedule, job descriptions and prints

  • Ability to get department inspection and buy-offs

  • Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual

  • Working knowledge of procedures , instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately

  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.

  • Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required

  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $19.26 to $25.03, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
