Has Utility experience in CYME, EMS OR PSSE

Familiar with PSSE OR TARA Applications

Familiar with energy mamagement systems including state estimator SE consistency analysis CA

The role of a senior level engineer is to be responsible for planning and conducting engineering activities. They use advanced techniques, practical field experience, and decision-making authority on engineering problems in the utility industry. They are responsible for leading teams of field employees, technicians, engineers, and other personnel.

Key Accountabilities

Developing and directing important projects or field assignments with complex features, includes performing engineering studies, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems, and developing models for improvement programs.

Perform system analysis using operational criteria and tools (CYME, EMS) Or PSSE Planning tool or TARA instead of EMS  Look for these key words/experience

Works closely with system study engineer and project scheduler to ensure accuracy of long-term shutdown schedule.

Organizes and leads huddle and shutdown schedule review meetings.

Organizes and leads cross-function team meetings especially for complex and back-to-back shutdowns in the same area/regions.

Champions continuous improvement (CI) initiatives focused on shutdown optimization and coordination of resources.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Specifies that candidates must have a Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant job experience.  Stay away from automotive electrical experience

Experience maintaining State Estimator technical applications.

Familiarity with Energy Management System (EMS) including State Estimator (SE), Contingency Analysis (CA), and N-1 conditions operating practices.

Familiar with PSSE or TARA applications. Ability to provide operational feedback to improve EMS system models based on real-time measurements.
