Job description

Only W2
Software Development Engineer in Test
Seattle, WA 98101
12 Months
Experience:2-5 years
1 // Experience automating test cases using an object-oriented coding language (C, C++, Python, C#, Java) onto an existing framework
2 // Experience owning test automation for teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore models
3 // Ability to self-manage on new deliverables and deliver automation projects with little direction
TEKsystems' client is building a new audio-focused game that will have a large focus on social gaming and engage millions of players around the globe. They will be coordinating with third-party companies and offshore teams in order to accomplish this.
They have a need for an SDET that will be automating tests for the local test effort in Seattle. This SDET will need to have experience automating test cases onto an existing framework similar to Selenium WebDriver in order to expand and enhance the testing environment.
Notes from the Hiring Manager:
We have an existing automated and load testing framework built for testing Lumberyard games, and much of that may work to move over to this game (which is on Unity), though there will be some work in updating the framework to make that happen. The framework and tests in that framework are written in Python and that is what our QA team is most familiar with. However, C++ along with any Unity experience will also be very helpful for getting the needed hooks into the game and working with and/or creation of the automation in the game. Along with AWS knowledge (EC2 instances, GameLift, Jenkins) for operating and re-working the framework as needed
Work Environment
Local, offshore, and nearshore with a high focus on efficient and thorough written/verbal communication in order to complete objectives. Highly collaborative, must be able to own/manage their own workload.

Nice to Have Skills
