Who You'll Work With
When you join Arista's VeloCloud Systems Engineering team, you become part of the group that pioneered cloud-delivered SD-WAN. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will be assigned a named book of MSP/SP accounts and serve as the primary technical relationship owner across those partners.
You will engage directly across the full breadth of each MSP/SP organization-spanning product management, sales, marketing, operations, service assurance, and NOC teams. Your role is to help partners design, launch, grow, and operationalize SD-WAN and SD-Branch managed services built on Arista's portfolio.
Through close collaboration with Arista Product Management, Engineering, TAC, and Professional Services, you will serve as a trusted advisor as partners build next-generation networking services that drive measurable business growth for both their customers and Arista.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a collaborative, technically strong Systems Engineer to own, enable, and co-sell with our strategic MSP/SP partners.
  • Account Ownership: Serve as the dedicated technical SE for an assigned set of MSP/SP accounts, building deep and lasting relationships across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders within each partner organization.
  • Trusted Advisor - Service Design: Help MSP/SP partners create, package, and take to market differentiated SD-WAN and SD-Branch managed services built on VeloCloud and the broader Arista portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Enablement: Develop and deliver tailored enablement programs across all MSP/SP teams-GTM (sales and marketing), operations, NOC/support, and product management-equipping each with the knowledge to position, sell, deliver, and support Arista-powered services.
  • Operational Integration: Ensure seamless integration of VeloCloud SD-Branch into MSP/SP operational frameworks, including OSS/BSS systems, service assurance platforms, and delivery workflows. This includes guiding use of VeloCloud REST APIs, log/metric export, and multi-tenant orchestration capabilities.
  • Co-Selling: Partner alongside MSP/SP sales teams in customer-facing opportunities-delivering technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and workshops to MSP customers and prospects to accelerate deal velocity and expand revenue.
  • Solution Architecture & PoC: Lead solution design, RFx technical responses, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring proposed architectures align with partner technical requirements and their downstream customers' business objectives.
  • Portfolio Expansion: Collaborate with MSP/SP partners to co-develop managed services that leverage the broader Arista portfolio-including campus switching, wireless, and security-creating additional revenue streams beyond SD-WAN.
  • Product Feedback Loop: Serve as the voice of the MSP/SP channel into Arista Product Management and Engineering, providing structured feedback on features and enhancements required for managed service and multi-tenant use cases.
  • Industry Presence: Represent Arista at industry events, MSP-focused forums, partner-led customer events, and conferences.

Qualifications
  • BS/CS/CE degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in WAN, networking, or cloud services, with at least part of that time focused on Service Provider or Managed Service Provider environments.
  • Understanding ofrouting protocols (BGP, OSPF), WAN technologies, and SD-WAN.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution design, and PoCs.
  • Ability to establish long-lasting relationships and credibility with diverse stakeholders across MSP/SP organizations (from technical operations to product management and sales).
  • Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working with or supporting MSP/SP organizations, with an understanding of their structure and operational processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Linux, hypervisors, cloud computing, and operational tools for logs, metrics, events, and alerting.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting (REST APIs, Python, Ansible) is a plus
  • Understanding of Service Provider routing environments, including MPLS VPN and Segment Routing (SR).
  • Experience co-developing or enabling managed service offerings is a strong plus.
  • Network Industry Certification is a plus

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location to provide consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only; in addition, certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista's Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
