RIZE CREDIT UNION
IT Scrum Master
Technology Projects | Headquarters – Irwindale, CA | Hybrid
Rize Credit Union is looking for an IT Scrum Master to help our technology teams deliver great work, sprint after sprint. If you love bringing structure to complexity, keeping people aligned, and turning "in-progress" into "done," we want to meet you.
In this role, you'll facilitate agile ceremonies, keep our IT projects on track, and act as a trusted voice connecting technical teams with the rest of the credit union. You'll partner with engineers, project managers, vendors, and business leaders to make sure our technology initiatives move forward smoothly and land with impact.
What You'll Do
Agile Facilitation
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Lead focused, 15-minute daily stand-ups that surface blockers and drive accountability
  • Support refinement and prioritization of user stories and sprint backlogs
  • Champion agile best practices and continuous improvement across IT project teams
Project Tracking amp; Coordination
  • Maintain project plans and task tracking in tools such as Smartsheet
  • Keep deliverables, user stories, and tasks accurately documented and current
  • Monitor sprint progress and flag risks, delays, or dependencies early
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and business stakeholders
Timeline amp; Vendor Alignment
  • Build and maintain Gantt charts aligning project timelines with vendor deliverables and contract milestones
  • Track key deadlines and escalate risks tied to vendor dependencies or contracts
  • Partner with vendor management to keep deliverables on schedule
Communication amp; Change Management
  • Serve as a central point of communication for IT project updates
  • Translate technical outcomes into clear, enterprise-wide messaging
  • Act as a "voice of change," driving adoption of new systems and processes
  • Keep leadership informed on project status, risks, and outcomes
What You Bring
Required Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, agile environments, or Scrum Master roles
  • Experience supporting technology or IT-related projects
Education amp; Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent required — or in progress with a plan to complete within 3 months
You're a Great Fit If You
  • Run organized, transparent, on-track sprints — every time
  • Keep documentation and reporting sharp and up to date
  • Build strong relationships across both IT and business teams
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement naturally
  • Can work independently, juggle priorities, and know when to escalate
  • Hold a valid driver's license and can travel periodically to branch locations in California and Las Vegas
