Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse. The Surgical Technologist demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures. The Surgical Technologist is responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique. The Surgical Technologist contributes to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

Education:

Certifications:

  • Certified Scrub Tech
  • BLS required

Experience:

  • 0 - 1 year of experience preferred
