Overview:
Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Experience Requested: 6-8 years
Description:
Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
Advanced networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect - setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
Observability & Monitoring: Experience with Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), and proactive alerting and telemetry configuration.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Proficient in Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for end-to-end automation.
Container Orchestration: Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
Security & Patching: Experienced in patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, aligned with best practices and compliance.
Programming & Scripting: Hands-on Python or Bash development experience for scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
