How do script writers typically collaborate with directors and producers during a project?

Script writers often work closely with directors and producers throughout the development and production process. After submitting a draft, writers may participate in meetings to discuss revisions based on creative direction, budget, or logistical constraints. Entry-level writers typically earn between $30,000 and $60,000 annually, while experienced professionals can earn over $100,000 or more, especially in television and film. Freelance script writers may charge per project or per hour, depending on their reputation and the scope of work.
