As a Database Engineer - Level 3 or 4 located in Morrisville, NC, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The role involves applying standards, processes, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle, diagnosing integration issues, and delivering fixes or enhancements in a fastpaced, Linuxbased, clientserver environment. The candidate must be a multitasking team player with strong communication skills, able to collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and contractors.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

  • Diagnose problems encountered during application integration among products and address fixes/enhancements according to prescribed program processes.

  • Familiarity with developing application software in a Linux environment, using relational databases, and knowledge of client - server applications will help set the candidate up for success.

  • The candidate will be working in an extremely dynamic and challenging environment on a day-to-day basis.

  • Experience with working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to multitask and have good time management skills.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) [TS/SCI] clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph [Poly] at time of application

  • Experience with design and implementation of data warehousing technologies including relational databases, SQL, and data analytics

  • Experience implementing InfluxDB, DynamoDB and PostgreSQL database systems running on Linux

  • Experience in full lifecycle project development

  • Experience with scripting languages such bash, PLSQL and/or Python for crafting efficient automation scripts and executing database operations

  • Experience working on Agile Teams.

  • Current Security+ Certification or equivalent

  • Experience documenting design, processes, and procedures

  • Experience with CI/CD Pipeline, Bitbucket, Git, Jira
