Job description

Spine Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon seeks to add a full-time Nurse Practitioner to his team.  The Nurse Practitioner will support this Spine Surgeon in the clinic.  They will run their own orthopedic clinic seeing both new and follow-up patients.  The group has a state-of-the-art ASC, Physical Therapy Center, Pain Management Center and a modern medical complex.  The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week) with no weekends or call.
Responsibilities include:
     - Office/Clinic – new patient evaluations and follow-up
     - There is no call
     - Injections (trigger point, cortisone and Botox)
     - Will run a clinic
     - Will refer for surgical consult and/or interventional procedure
     - Pre and post procedure H&P’s
     - Writing scripts and patient education
     - Evaluate X-ray, CT scan and MRI
The location is in the beautiful Palm Springs area.  This area is a MECCA for golf and tennis.  There is great all year-round outdoor living along with a very reasonable cost of living for the state of California.  The doctor prefers some experience but is willing to train!  Base salary is open, plus overtime after a 40-hour work week and a production bonus.  Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
