The Front Desk Assistant professionally serves the clinic patients and the interns.

Must be able to work the required schedule: Monday-Wednesday: 11:00am - 5:00pm and Friday: 8:30am -1:30pm

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Register Arriving Patients per detailed instructions in the Clinic Office Procedure Manual

  • Checking out of Departing Patients per detailed instructions in the Clinic Office Procedure Manual

  • Patient File Management per detailed instructions in the Clinic Office Procedure Manual

  • Check Out and Check In of PT equipment and supplies per detailed instructions in the Clinic Office Procedure Manual

  • Clinic Receptionist per detailed instructions in the Clinic Office Procedure Manual

  • Various Duties:

    • Maintain Inventory

    • New Patient Files

    • Patient File Forms

    • Office Supplies

    • Patient file copying

    • Shift deposit

    • Obtain and Sort Mail

    • Insurance verification

    • Answering phones using appropriate scripts

    • Patient Transfer Card data entry

    • Launder gowns and towels

    • Maintain an orderly work area

  • Other assignments that may be requested, from time to time, by the Clinic Operations Manager.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information that is learned through this department following all HIPAA guidelines.

  • Understand that fraternization with students/interns is strictly prohibited.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A minimum of six (6) months of customer service representative (CSR) and/or general office experience.

  • Bilingual is a plus factor.

JOB REQUIREMENT/SKILL/ETC.: 

  • Good English grammar, spelling and punctuation skills;

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; 

  • Proven outstanding job attendance.   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal.  Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. 

  • May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk. 

  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twenty-five (25) exerting up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force. 

  • Must be able reach and place items on shelving 66” high.
