WHO YOU ARE

Weโ€™re looking for a TV Production Assistant with a strong sense of storytelling and a passion for the fast-paced world of television. Youโ€™ll play a hands-on role in supporting our broadcast and digital productions by working with graphics, providing research, editing video clips, managing scripts and contributing to storylines ensuring content goes to air smoothly and professionally.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO

Production Support (Pre, Live & Post):

  • Work closely with producers and associate producers to prepare graphics, video clips, production elements, rundowns and scripts for on-air talent and crewย 
  • Assist with content ideation and pitching storylines
  • Active in pre-production planning, live show and live event workflows
  • Generate research materials for on-air talent, producers and content teamsย 
  • Support control room and studio operations during tapings and live broadcast

Editorial Support:

  • Select and cut B-roll footage to support narratives and visual flow in shows and packages
  • Assist editors and producers in assembling compelling feature segments and show packages
  • Organize, tag, and archive video assets for future content needs
  • Provide historical and current research materials for sport competitors
  • Work with announcers, producers and rodeo committees to obtain rodeo information on a daily or nightly basis
  • Write and edit scripts including teases, bumps, vignettes and lead-ins

Administrative & Logistics:

  • Maintain daily production schedules and calendars
  • Log and verify music cue sheets and cue sheet submissions
  • Log, archive and provide metadata for video feeds and clips
  • Assist with coordinating internal and external communication between departments
  • Help organize production spaces, manage supply runs, and support on-set logistics

WHO YOU ARE
  • You understand basic broadcast standards and workflows
  • You take initiative and work well both independently and as part of a production team
  • Youโ€™re passionate about storytelling, live production, and the American West
  • Youโ€™re familiar with action or alternative sports
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Youโ€™re familiar with or have the desire to learn and use broadcast rundown software (e.g., ENPS, iNews), non-linear editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X) and graphics building software (e.g., Xpression, TagBoard)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in TV production
  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.ย 
  • Experience in the Western sports and media industry or a passion for the Western lifestyle is a bonus
  • Knowledge of professional rodeo (historical and current) is a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
