Job description

This is a Full time, benefited, 12 hour early day shift OR RN position 03:30-16:00  with varied call shifts at La Jolla Green in Torrey Pines.  The orientation schedule will be 8 hours and a with a day shift start time a few hours later than the above schedule .

There is a bonus of $4K and a relocation incentive $3K to eligible new hires.

This role is a unique position that we are seeking a detail-oriented RN who is able to assist in preparing the operating rooms for scheduled procedures during off-peak hours, will assist with first case preparedness, department breaks, lunches, potential daily room assignment due to staffing needs, continued set ups throughout their shift and turnovers. The RN will assist in ensuring the OR is clean, sterile, verify that all OR equipment is functional, organized and positioned correctly; the OR is and fully equipped before surgery, supporting the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977. Join Scripps Green Hospital Surgery Team, which operates in 12 OR suites and sees 900 cases a month. The ideal candidate for the position will have 1 or more years of OR experience, including, but not limited to Ortho (total Joints/LER- lower extremity reconstruction), General, Urology, Vascular, Spine, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Neuro, and Transplant. This is a busy and fast-paced environment which requires teamwork and cooperation to provide the highest level of patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • One year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room (Circulating) 

  • California Registered Nurse License

  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification

  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years surgery experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
