Scripps La Jolla was the first in San Diego to be designated a Magnet Hospital by the American Nursing Association.

Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.

This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts at Scripps Memorial La Jolla.

 Join our team supporting the Cardiac Cath Lab Department at Scripps La Jolla as a Lead RN.. The ideal candidate will be flexible and easily adapt to the changing needs and tasks of the department.  The Prebys Cardiovascular Institute at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, features an advanced cardiac catheterization lab offering 24/7 emergency and elective care. As the region's largest cardiovascular program includes six specialized cath labs, one electrophysiology lab, and a six-bed recovery area, specializing in TAVR, angioplasty, stenting, and structural heart procedures.  As a Lead Cath Lab RN, you will:

  • Monitor patient prior to and after the procedures
  • Administer medications
  • assist physicians during Cath procedures (both scheduled and emergency) angioplasties, pacemaker implantation and other cardiac procedures
  • Provide direction to members of the Patient Care team

 $4K New Hire Incentive and $3K Relocation if moving from 100+ miles.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required:

  • 3 years recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab, ICU and/or ED
  • Current CA RN License
  • BLS and ACLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors

 Preferred:

  • Five (5) years Cath Lab experience
