About Us

ONYX INK is a fast-growing Miami-based merch and apparel production studio specializing in DTF, embroidery, screen printing, and custom branding. We work with local businesses, schools, creators, and national brands — and we’re expanding our graphics production team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Graphic Designer who will also be trained as a DTF Production Operator. This role is ideal for someone creative, detail-oriented, organized, and interested in both design and hands-on apparel production.

You will assist with creating and preparing artwork for production while learning how to operate and maintain our DTF printing equipment. As production demand grows, this position has the opportunity to evolve into a larger role within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Create and prepare customer artwork, mockups, and print-ready files
  • Adjust artwork sizing, layouts, and formatting for apparel production
  • Organize production files and maintain structured workflows
  • Learn and operate DTF printers using FLEXi and Hosonsoft
  • Run RIP software and export PRN/PRT/RIP files correctly
  • Perform daily printer maintenance (head cleanings, capping station upkeep, ink management)
  • Troubleshoot basic print and artwork issues
  • Perform quality checks for print alignment, color accuracy, and overall output quality
  • Assist with heat pressing and general production tasks as needed
  • Assisit with Screen Printing Separations
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in Screen Printing Separation
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to follow structured workflows and production procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new processes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience in apparel decoration, print production, or DTF printing
  • Experience with FLEXi, Hosonsoft, or RIP software
  • Understanding of vector artwork and print file preparation
  • early career looking to grow in the company
