What You'll Do
  • Responsible and involved in all marketing areas of the Wire chopper, including Core sales, business development, supplier relationship management, market intelligence, pricing strategy, material sourcing, and evaluation
  • Purchases scrap wire materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy
  • Develops the growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts
  • Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities
  • Investigates new potential sources of consumers of scrap metal. Buys from retail, dealer, industrial customers, repair shops, demolition projects, clean-ups, etc
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
What You'll Need
  • 1-3 years business marketing/operations experience
  • Have a good understanding of purchasing scrap metal based off the LME/Comex and hedging
  • Buying/selling skill and product knowledge
  • Mid-level work experience with people, project supervision, sales, operations, and/or customer service is a plus
  • Leadership skills in professional, educational, and/or social experiences
  • Ability and willingness to work in all areas of the business
  • Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and to engage with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to travel within assigned region and other areas as needed
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
