McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal for the Peachtree Corners, GA office. The Bankruptcy Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to the Bankruptcy Department and Attorneys by processing bankruptcy case files including: drafting of legal documents such as proof of claims, motions for relief from stay, objections, and claim maintenance filings.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Process files in case management and client systems
  • Draft filing for proof of claim, reaffirmation agreements and motions of relief for attorney review
  • Request files from clients and other departments as needed
  • PACER and e-filing experience is required
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Professionally communicate with clients and co-workers
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Any other clerical tasks as needed
  • Excellent professional communication skills as position requires written and verbal interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors.

Experience:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in lender bankruptcy processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
  • Experience and understanding of the various client systems such as a360 Case Aware, Black Knight, and Tempo is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook and Teams
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience with SCRA and other electronic databases a plus
