Summary of Position
Develops and modifies software related to CTC's ERP application while providing integration support for ancillary applications
Education and Experience
Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science or related field plus two years' programming and development experience using modern programming languages OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
Experience requirement waived with Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Transcripts must be uploaded to application with conferred date of degree).
Knowledge Skills and Ability
  • Experience working with object-oriented programming utilizing: Microsoft Visual Studio; GIT repository; framework; C#; JavaScript; XML; CSS; HTML; and Powershell.
  • Experience working with relational databases. SQL, UniData, ODBC, VSG, and MS-Office tools (Access and Excel). Competent in design and navigation of complex database systems
  • Ability to develop and maintain an ERP system, using Colleague Studio, an Integrated Development Tool.
  • Ability to write well-constructed source code using structured programming logic and work efficiently within established design methodology
  • Ability to develop and maintain ancillary and third-party applications which integrate with CTC's ERP system
  • Ability to build reports from various data sources using reporting tools
  • Must exhibit proficiency throughout the entire development process, to include: building databases.
  • Must possess strong technical research skills, utilizing reference materials, community forums, third-party tools to solve application and/or source code writing problems
  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot throughout the development life cycle
  • Must have the ability to manage software development projects while consistently and effectively communicating both with end-users and other developers
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team member with commitment to IT Information Systems objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Develops new software and provides enhancements to existing applications, databases, and third party/ancillary systems
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency, creativity, and the ability to collaborate frequently both with other developers and end0users.
  • Provides support for Colleague UI and Ellucian's cloud-based products.
  • Understands and supports a variety of enterprise database platforms (e.g., Unidata,SQL)
  • Provides report-writing assistance to end-users utilizing various reporting tools
  • Analyze and resolves application issues reported via the IT Help Desk
  • Participates in the development of standards for systems and source code writing.
  • Creates both technical and functional documentation
  • Researches and resolves a wide range of application issues and errors
  • Other duties as assigned
