ProPharma is seeking an experienced Scientific Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS tools and data engineering, with a focus on data ingestion solutions for CRO/CDMO environments. This role requires expertise in data capture, orchestration, and transformation, as well as the ability to handle a wide variety of data files from scientific instruments and processed results.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS tools such as Glue, Aurora, and Redshift.
  • Implement data ingestion and parsing solutions for diverse data files from instruments and analytical results.
  • Orchestrate and transform data pipelines to ensure efficient data capture and processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Utilize solid Python skills to develop and optimize data processing workflows.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AWS.
  • Proficiency with AWS tools: Glue, Aurora, Redshift.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Demonstrable experience with scientific, analytical, or process data, ideally within the domain of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) data.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand data related to domain biologics development and CMC.
Educational Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences.
  • Experience in CRO/CDMO data ingestion solutions.
  • Familiarity with data capture and orchestration of data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data transformation techniques.
