Matter Experts, and customers to build products that solve meaningful problems across the clinical development lifecycle. Rather than simply delivering features, you will design

workflows that combine structured data, artificial intelligence, and expert review to improve how customers create, review, and optimize clinical studies.

This role requires strong product judgment, customer empathy, and the ability to navigate

ambiguity while balancing business goals, technical investment, and customer needs. You

will be expected to independently lead initiatives, influence product strategy, and deliver

measurable customer outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major product area.
  • Identify customer problems through interviews, workflow analysis, product analytics, and market research.
  • Translate customer needs into product strategies and prioritized roadmaps.
  • Define product success metrics and use data to continuously improve customer outcomes.
  • Balance customer value, technical complexity, and business priorities when making product decisions.
AI Product Development
  • Design intelligent product experiences that use structured data, large language models, retrieval systems, and automation to improve customer workflows.
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering to define AI capabilities including:
    • Large Language Models
    • Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
    • AI agents
    • Workflow automation
    • Prompt orchestration
    • Structured content generation
  • Define product requirements for AI capabilities, including evaluation criteria, quality metrics, confidence thresholds, and customer feedback mechanisms.
  • Ensure AI generated outputs are transparent, explainable, and aligned with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Customer Discovery
  • Develop a deep understanding of clinical development workflows and customer challenges.
  • Map complete customer journeys and identify opportunities to simplify complex workflows.
  • Validate concepts through customer interviews, usability testing, and prototype evaluations.
  • Partner with customers throughout product development to ensure solutions solve real problems.
Product Delivery
  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Data Science throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead product planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and customer adoption activities.
  • Clearly communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to executives and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure product releases deliver measurable customer and business value.
Product Analytics
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators including adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and AI quality.
  • Use experimentation and product analytics to improve product performance.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks that measure both product quality and customer impact.
Leadership
  • Mentor Associate Product Managers and contribute to product management best practices.
  • Foster strong collaboration across Engineering, Design, Clinical SMEs, Commercial, and Customer Success.
  • Champion a culture of customer focus, experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of product management experience building enterprise software or SaaS products.
  • Demonstrated success leading products from discovery through commercial launch.
  • Strong customer discovery and product strategy experience.
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and prioritizing across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a data driven approach to decision making.
  • Proven ability to influence cross functional teams without direct authority.
Preferred
  • Experience building products that incorporate artificial intelligence or machine learning.
  • Familiarity with technologies including:
    • Large Language Models - Claude, ChatGPT

  • Experience partnering with Data Science teams to deliver AI capabilities into production.
  • Experience defining AI quality metrics and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience working in life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

During your first year you will:

  • Successfully deliver strategic product capabilities that improve customer outcomes.
  • Launch AI capabilities that simplify complex clinical workflows while maintaining customer trust.
  • Increase product adoption, engagement, and customer satisfaction through measurable improvements.
  • Establish clear success metrics for your product area and use them to guide future investment.
  • Become a trusted product leader across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Clinical SMEs, and Commercial teams.

Senior Product Managers at Faro are expected to:

  • Think strategically while remaining close to customer problems.
