What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own execution of the Media Relations platform experience spanning Search, AI-powered relevance, media list management, imports, outreach workflows, and outreach analytics.
This role is responsible for translating product strategy into clear requirements and delivering a cohesive experience that enables customers to discover relevant journalists, evaluate expertise, build targeted media lists, execute outreach, and measure performance through a connected, data-driven workflow.
You will partner closely with Product leadership to shape priorities and ensure seamless execution across Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, and Data Science teams. This includes working closely with a dedicated Product Manager focused on ranking systems and machine learning models to ensure AI-driven capabilities are effectively integrated into the product experience.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong product judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to use data to inform prioritization decisions across Search, workflow improvements, and outreach performance capabilities.
You are highly organized, able to operate independently in complex problem spaces, and capable of translating technical concepts in search and AI-powered recommendations into clear requirements and intuitive user experiences.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Product Leadership:

  • Execute on product strategy across the Media Relations platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs across Search, AI-powered relevance, media list management, imports, outreach workflows, and outreach analytics.

  • Translate strategic direction into clear product requirements, roadmap increments, and prioritized initiatives across Search and Outreach surfaces.

  • Ensure continuity and clarity across interconnected product areas, maintaining a cohesive user experience spanning discovery, organization, outreach execution, and performance measurement.

  • Partner with Product leadership to inform prioritization decisions using product data, customer insights, and usability feedback.

Core Product Experience: Search, Outreach, Media List, AI

  • Define detailed product requirements and prioritize enhancements that improve how customers identify relevant journalists, evaluate expertise, organize contacts into targeted media lists, execute outreach, and understand campaign effectiveness.

  • Drive improvements in usability, workflow efficiency, and performance insights across Search and Outreach, ensuring customers can move efficiently from discovery to action using accurate data and intelligent recommendations.

  • Work closely with Engineering and Data Science partners to ensure relevance improvements and AI-powered capabilities translate into intuitive and trusted user experiences.

  • Establish success metrics and instrumentation to continuously evaluate engagement, adoption, and effectiveness across the platform.

Innovation and Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed product and behavioral data analysis to identify trends, uncover insights, and support strategic decision-making across Search, media list management, outreach workflows, and performance analytics.

  • Drive innovation across the Media Relations platform by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, structured relevance signals, and workflow automation to improve how customers discover contacts, build targeted lists, execute outreach, and measure impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Product Marketing, and Customer teams to deliver effective, scalable solutions that improve relevance, workflow usability, and outreach effectiveness across the Media Relations platform.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Search and Outreach workflows, advocating for intuitive product experiences, clear relevance signals, and best practices that improve customer confidence and productivity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Customer-facing teams to ensure platform improvements align with customer needs, product strategy, and business priorities.

  • Communicate product direction, priorities, and progress effectively across internal teams, ensuring stakeholders remain informed and aligned on ongoing initiatives and future platform evolution.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.

  • 6+ years of product management experience in SaaS or technology platforms involving search, AI-powered products, workflow tools, or data-driven user experiences.

  • Proven ability to define strategy and drive execution across complex product areas spanning discovery, relevance evaluation, workflow management, and performance insights.

  • Strong technical understanding of search and recommendation concepts, including relevance signals, structured and unstructured data, APIs, analytics frameworks, and AI-powered product capabilities.

  • Highly organized with strong operational rigor, able to define clear requirements, manage multiple workstreams, and drive initiatives from concept through delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Product Marketing to deliver cohesive product experiences.

  • Strong analytical thinking and product judgment, with the ability to interpret data, prioritize effectively, and operate independently in complex environments.

Compensation Overview

At Meltwater, we believe great impact deserves great reward. Our compensation approach is data-driven, market-informed, and built to scale with your growth. We benchmark roles against external market data and use structured leveling frameworks to ensure fairness, consistency, and internal equity across teams and geographies.

These frameworks are based on objective, gender-neutral criteria in line with applicable pay transparency regulations.
For this role, the base salary range is $135,000 - $150,000 USD.

Compensation may also include a performance-based bonus opportunity.

Actual offers are determined based on job-related skills, experience, demonstrated capabilities, and work location. We typically hire within the range in a way that supports long-term growth, recognizing that compensation evolves as scope, performance, and impact expand over time.
